This journal is friends-only. I tend to add most everyone who adds me, but I like to know where people come from and what they want to see on my journal, so I'd love it if you could post a comment with that in it before I add you. Most of my journal is private, including my costuming updates. I try to keep my links and tutorials public, though, so if that's what you're here for here's a list of what I've done:

A Note on my tutorials: I'll always accept any links or suggestions you feel free to give, but I reserve the right to politely disagree :D I'll leave dissenting comments up for future readers to view, I only delete comments that denigrate into trolling (name-calling, going off-topic to attack other areas, etc). So if you find something that you disagree with, feel free to comment and tell me why. I'm always excited to learn something new!

Not mine, but noteworthy:
[livejournal.com profile] jaberwhalky's links to victorian and edwardian clothing resources for steampunk
[livejournal.com profile] bauhausfrau's Article on recovering 18th century shoes. Probably works just as well for other centuries, too.
[livejournal.com profile] cidsa's tips for wig wear and care I don't entirely agree with all points, but until I write my own it's a good starting point.

Hello :) I saw your write-up on the money of costuming and loved it. I work in costume shops for a living and try to make a few things for friends on the side. Anything having to do with historic clothing and making costumes is up my alley, so I added your journal.
Thanks!

I love all the tutorials you have posted! They are very helpful :)

I have a feeling we run in a number of same groups in Saint Louis, or at least know a number of the same people.

It seems we do know the same people :D My only membership in St. Louis is the SLUTS, but I come over a few times a year for cons, so I'm around often enough. Welcome to my journal!

Hi, I've been seeing you here and there for years now (Phantom of the Opera yahoo group, corsetmakers etc.) and I would love to read more about your costuming stuff, so I added your journal. Thanks.

Hi. I was interested in the costume contest and your other costuming information, so I added you. I don't post very often so feel free not to add me. I really enjoy the tutorials.

Hi,

I found your LJ via your incredibly detailed and helpful corset making page. I just started sewing again this year after having not sewn since I was a teenager, and am hoping to start making corsets for myself in the next year or so. Anyway, I wanted to add you to my flist because you look nifty! Also, anyone that both Jaborwhalky & Bauhausfrau know must be marvelous :)

Hey, this is Jon from Naka/Archon. I apparently interact with you enough to feel it necessary to add you.

Found you through the DC LJ, I'm not much of a costumer (mainly because of lack of money and talent) but I'd love to do a costume someday (probably a trek costumer). I went a little crazy last year at my first DC and took like a billion pictures of people in costumes, I think that sort of talent is SO awesome. So yeah, that's what brings me here.

Hey there,
I found you via a pathetic cry for help on the wig community. Thanks for the advice, and the interest! Your journal looks to have a plethora of knowledge on all things relating to costuming.
:D
